1. Personal data
Protecting your personal data is particularly important to us. In this privacy policy, you are informed about the most important aspects of data processing on our website.
Your personal data (e.g. name/company, contact details) will only be used if you give your consent or to carry out the (contractual) relationship with you for the purposes agreed with you or in the course of carrying out the activities of the honorary consulate or if there is another legal basis (in particular GDPR, DSG). Only personal data is collected that is necessary to carry out and carry out the tasks and services or that you have provided to us voluntarily.
2. Processing of personal data
The data provided (e.g. via a form on our website or by e-mail) will not be processed for purposes other than through the (contractual) relationship with you or through your consent or through the activities of the honorary consulate or for other purposes set in accordance with applicable data protection law. However, use for statistical purposes is excluded, provided that the data provided has been anonymized or pseudonymized (see further point 7.).
3. Safety
State-of-the-art organizational and technical measures have been taken to ensure the protection of your personal data. This applies in particular to protection against misuse from within and from outside, for example through firewalls, encryption or access authorizations.
However, it cannot be ruled out that errors in data transmission not caused by the honorary consulate or even unauthorized access by third parties (hackers, etc.) Information is viewed or used by other people. No liability is assumed for this unless this misuse was culpably caused by the honorary consulate.
4. Transfer of personal data to third parties
As a matter of principle, your personal data will not be made available to third parties. However, in order to fulfill the (contractual) relationship with you or for legal reasons, it may be necessary to forward your data to third parties. These may include authorities or other third parties involved (including contract processors who work for us). In this case, your data will be passed on exclusively on the basis of applicable data protection law, i.e. on the basis of the consent you have given, to fulfill a contract or to fulfill a legal obligation. In addition, personal information is regularly obtained and processed from third parties in order to fulfill the (contractual) relationship with you or as part of the activities of the honorary consulate.
It is also pointed out that your personal data may be transferred to third parties at home and abroad. However, your personal data will only and exclusively be transmitted on the basis of data protection law (in particular GDPR), ensuring an appropriate level of data protection or taking measures to ensure that all recipients have an appropriate level of data protection.
5. Saving & deleting personal data
Your personal data will not be kept by the Honorary Consulate for longer than necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they are processed. Your personal data will also be stored for any evidentiary purposes, taking into account the limitation periods or as long as a claim (liability) from the honorary consulate is possible.
6. Rights of data subjects
As part of your rights as a data subject, you have the right to information about your personal data stored by the Honorary Consulate as well as their origin, recipients and the purposes of data processing. You also have the right to correct, object, transfer data (unless this causes disproportionate effort), restriction of processing and blocking or deleting incorrect or unlawfully processed personal data.
You also have the right to withdraw any consent you have already given to the use of your personal data at any time. To assert your rights as a data subject, please contact the Honorary Consulate. However, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that, under and within applicable legislation, we are required to continue to store certain personal data.
If you believe that the processing of your personal data by us violates applicable data protection law or that your data protection claims have been violated in any other way, you may also contact the competent supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian data protection authority based in Vienna.
7. Cookies & web analysis
This website uses so-called cookies. These are smaller text files that are stored on your device using the Internet browser. Cookies are used to make our website user-friendly. Some cookies may remain stored on your device until you delete them.
Cookies make it possible to recognize your Internet browser the next time you visit.
